The iRobot Roomba 980 Robot Vacuum Cleaner
Robot vacuums nab pet hair, lint, and dust from floors before they settle. They can also avoid stairs and other obstacles such as furniture that is tippy.
Most robotic vacs require some maintenance, like emptying (and occasionally rinsing) the bin, and wiping cameras and sensors. They also require to be plugged in. Many come with smartphone apps to schedule, adjust settings, and more.

iRobot Roomba 980
The iRobot Roomba 980, the latest in a series of top-of-the-line robot vacuums, is an essential for every modern home. This model is incredibly powerful suction as well as a HEPA filter that'll assist anyone suffering from allergies. In addition it has a strong battery that can clean up to two hours and it will return to its dock when it is full.
Smart mapping is another feature that allows it to identify areas of your home that require attention and provides a cleaning path to get around them. This technology is very efficient at navigating around toys that have been left on the floor, or furniture legs sticking out underneath things. Roomba also has a sensor that will snap Roomba back to reality when it begins to drift away from its initial location.
iRobot has also added a new set of rollers underneath the bottom of the Roomba that don't have bristles and therefore tend to resist tangles more than earlier models. These are also a little taller than previous rollers and are able to fit under beds and couches with low sides and are designed to let this model move more easily on varying flooring kinds.
shark robot vacuum and mop stands out from other models of high-end quality by its brand new dirt detection feature, which uses a camera in order to detect dirt embedded. This is a nice improvement over the previous model, which relied on a sensor-driven pseudorandom coverage technique to bounce around the room and clean it at least three times from different angles.
In our tests of its performance in our tests of its performance, the Roomba 980 did well on both hard flooring and carpets. Its score on low pile carpet was very good and it also scored a good score on mid pile, too. It did a great job picking up pet hair but struggled with thick and long pet hair that was stuck together.
Despite these slight limitations, the Roomba 980 remains one of our most efficient robots, and isn't even nearly as expensive as some of the other top-of-the-line models on this list. It comes with many of the features you'd expect from a flagship model, but doesn't come with all the fancy apps or home integrations you'll find in other top contenders.
The iRobot Roomba can be set up quickly and is ready to use right away. After you have removed the battery pull tab and yellow bin insert from undercarriage, all you need to connect it to its Home Base docking station or a wall socket, press its large "Clean" button and let it get to work. It will return to the dock when it has run out of battery or is full of trash. There are also indicator lights on top that indicate the bin is empty, when it needs to recharge, or if it loses Wi-Fi.
